Tracking Back
By Administrator | April 4, 2006
Due to the time change, I wasn’t able to get myself up for a morning jog yesterday. I set my alarm for 5:00am and just couldn’t see going out in the dark (and wet) morning in order to run around the track. Now that the sun is out later, I’m going to have to motivate myself to exercise in the evenings, even though I’m usually “trashed” by the time I get home from work.
I did enjoy a nice walk to work yesterday morning. The funny thing is that I walked out onto the local street and ran straight into a co-worker dropping her son off at school. She offered me a ride in her shiny new car, but I declined by saying that I was out for my morning exercise. At work, she asked how the walk went, and I (truthfully) told her that it had been gorgeous: the morning was partly cloudy and somewhat damp, the air smelled and felt fresh after the rain, and I’m not quite in such poor shape as I was a couple weeks ago.
Yesterday was also a co-workers birthday - which gave me the excuse to start eating things that aren’t so healthy and/or well-suited to someone who is supposedly in training. I’ve really got to work harder on the food intake portion of my routine because I am at least attempting to make changes in my physical activity level. With that in mind, I plan to create a companion blog to this one in order to focus just on my eating problems.
I’m also going to do better at logging my physical activities each day. I’ve got a finite amount of time in order to train myself to at least complete the 5k…September 30 will be here before I realize it!
