A Little Help

By Administrator | June 28, 2006

During my last appointment with my family doctor (who is actually a nurse practitioner), I mentioned that I’d really like to lose some weight, so she referred me to a nutrionist based out of our local hospital. The nutrionist gave me some interesting information on diet that I will share here in my next post.

I’ve also been prescribed a diuretic to help get my blood pressure under control and found that some of my trouble getting rid of weight seems to have been because I was retaining water. Since I started on the new medication, I’ve broken the plateau where I’d been stuck for the last several years and I’m on the road to getting myself back below 200 pounds again. This has been an exciting development and has encouraged me to continue working on watching what I eat (I hate the word diet) and exercise program.
