Down and Out
By Administrator | July 17, 2006
Last week, I exercised a couple days, took a couple days off, exercised another couple days and took three days off. I need to be more consistent with my program if I want to be ready for the 5k, since I’m down to about 10 weeks of training time now.
I went out both yesterday and this morning and walked/jogged my 3.56 mile loop. This morning I actually sped up the walking uphill part and I managed to jog quite a bit further, non-stop, than I have before. I focused my attention on the hills across Eagle Valley instead of watching my feet and found that I didn’t have quite such a difficult time continuing my jog.
Of course, the jog part of my exercise right now is still downhill - and that’s much easier than jogging uphill. I’ve got to work on the uphill part a lot more and add some elevation to my weekend workouts so that I’ll be prepared to run at Lake Tahoe level.
