Thank You, Time Magazine
By Administrator | December 17, 2006
Most of you web surfers have probably already read this article, but this one deserves to be seen by as many of us as possible because the article is about…us. We, the solitary, homebound, computer-using public, have been named Time’s person of the year for 2006 for revolutionizing the way the internet is being used. If you haven’t yet read the article, you might want to take a few minutes to do so:

According to this article, we are “looking at an explosion of productivity and innovation…as millions of minds that would otherwise have drowned in obscurity get backhauled into the global intellectual economy.” We, the anonymous citizens of the world, have the chance to band together to influence government officials, corporate bigwigs, and even our next-door neighbor to make positive changes based on what we, the masses, really want.
Keep this in mind the next time you write a blog post, update your web site, or download a video of a perceived local injustice from your cameraphone to YouTube. You are releasing information out onto the sea of change and the currents may take your creation to all parts of the globe to be seen by millions of people.
Isn’t that a powerful thought?
