Hanging In
By Administrator | January 14, 2007
Today was a particularly bad day, craving-wise, and it was made that much worse by the fact that I went grocery shopping. I never realized just how much of the food at our local store is so unhealthy for one reason or another: sugar, flour, sodium, preservatives, and who knows what else. Reading the nutrition information on the stuff that I previously ate without thinking is very depressing and I can now see just why I’ve always had so much trouble with my weight. Calories alone are definitely not the issue.
Still, I managed to go shopping and not buy myself anything bad. I did get a caffeine-free diet soda because I was craving something sweet so badly, and I’m going to have to wean myself of that habit as well.
I did manage to control myself for today and that’s a huge step in the right direction. Maybe 2007 will be the year I finally manage to find the person under all this excess weight.
