Closer

The past couple days I’ve been pretty busy and I can’t say that I followed my new eating plan to the letter - however I also didn’t eat much of anything either day. An unofficial weigh-in this evening had the scale reading about 203 with clothes (which could be about 200 without) and I’m hoping that my more official reading tomorrow morning will show that I’m really close to falling below that 200-lb mark for the first time in quite a few years.

We’re a little over two weeks into the new year and I’m feeling positive about my resolution to eat healthier and get into better shape. This time, I think I may be able to go the distance and actually get rid of some of the excess me. I can at least say that I’m making a serious attempt, if nothing else. And I do feel as though my clothes are fitting differently.

All this is good. Now I just have to keep going long enough to get to the point where I can easily maintain my new habits instead of having to concentrate so much on what I’m doing. Reaching that point will be quite an accomplishment and I’m really looking forward to looking and feeling better.

Here’s to sticking with my resolution!
