What a Day!
By Administrator | April 24, 2007
Today was a long and varied one. My day started at 4:10am when I finally gave up trying to sleep and hopped into the shower to get ready for my “big” TV appearance (4 whole minutes on one of our local morning news programs). Since this was a new experience for me I had no real idea what to expect and I was more than a little nervous. Like most experiences, this one didn’t seem to have gone too badly and I was told by a few people that I did well. If nothing else, at least I got a little more practice.
My wonderful hubby went along with me for moral support and I really appreciated his company. After the interview, we also stopped off and had a nice breakfast together so the day got off to a pretty good start.
I showed up at work at 10am and put in almost three hours before meeting with a photographer from our local paper to do some photos for an article that will run next week. I spoke with the freelance reporter by phone on Sunday, as did my hubby, and a friend/former co-worker was also asked a few questions. The funny thing is that the article in our local paper will probably be larger than the portion of the article in Redbook that started this mini-media frenzy in my life.
All in all, I can say this has been a fun experience and everyone with whom I’ve dealt since this started back in January has been very nice.
2007 has definitely been a year to remember so far…
