Time Marches On

By Administrator | May 19, 2007

Nothing incredibly interesting has happened in the last couple weeks after all the excitement of the prior month. The newspaper article about me being included in the magazine article finally ran (three weeks after the interview) and the June issue of Redbook is now on the racks so the time has come to move on to whatever’s coming next in my life. I didn’t expect any of what happened with this article, but I get the feeling this may turn out to be a training situation for future events that I can’t foresee at the moment.

While I’m in a lull right now, another big event is rapidly approaching. My hubby and I are celebrating 25 years of marriage, the big Silver Anniversary, on June 5, 2007. How can so much time have passed so quickly? I clearly remember all the excitement of getting married and being a young bride who moved far from home to start a completely new life, but I feel as though that was a different person altogether. The young woman who took her first big step into the world on that spring day is not the more mature woman who sits here writing this, that’s for sure.

Much of the credit for the changes in me goes to my wonderful, supportive, and patient husband. Without his encouraging nudges over the years, as well as the occasional shove from behind, I would not have tried some of the things that have now become fond memories. He doesn’t get nearly enough credit for being such a terrific and understanding person - but then most people don’t know him the way I do.

This is my public thank you to my husband, and my best friend, for 25 great years together. I look forward to all the excitement we’ll face in our next 25 together…
