The day was definitely a Monday. At work, we had four patrons in our research room (three at once) - the most since I started the job ten months ago - and I also had three people call in with questions. My day at work ended with my nice 64-ounce water bottle splitting open to gush all over me. Then I went grocery shopping right after work at our local super center, which is never a good idea. I was finally able to settle in and relax for the evening after 7:00 pm. The whole day was a blur of exhaustion because I hadn’t slept well due to all my evening exertion and having had caffeine before bed time. I’m glad to move forward.
When I woke up today, I didn’t feel like going for my morning bike ride, but I did manage to get myself out and about anyway. I’m also proud of myself for going an extra half mile despite my soreness and lack of motivation. This mornings numbers are: 1.9 miles at an average speed of 8 mph and a top speed of 14.1 mph (I love those downhills!). My total biking time was nearly 15 minutes.
Slow and steady builds the muscles.
