Today’s Excursion

By Administrator | June 24, 2007

This morning, despite feeling very unmotivated, I still managed to get myself out on my bike.  My ride was an 18 minute trip around the neighborhood at a top speed of 15.5 mph, an average of 8.8 mph, and a total distance of 2.6 miles.  This trip took me up and down a couple hills - and I have to say I much prefer the trip down because the bike picks up a lot of speed and I don’t have to pedal.

Eldest daughter has suggested that she and I start swimming again so I have to track down my card for the local pool.  Since hubby is my bike coach, and eldest will be my swim coach, I’ll have to ask middle daughter if she’d like to start joining me on evening walks.  Youngest daughter can always be my occasional weekend hike partner.  My girls also have a friend who’s very into jogging that might help me when I reach that point again.

Aren’t I lucky to have so many exercise partners?
