Morning Has Broken

By Administrator | June 26, 2007

Taking a bike ride first thing in the morning is much preferable to going out after work.  At this time of the day, the air is clear, cool, and calm.  I love the feeling of the cool breeze on my skin as I struggle up that first slight incline of the day - though I still had trouble pedaling past my sore leg muscles.

Still, I managed a 2.4 mile loop at an average speed of 7.7 mph (top speed 15.7 mph coming down Washington Street) in just under 19 minutes.  Today’s trip was my tenth ride for the month of June and my total mileage now stands at 20.20.  That doesn’t come close to hubby’s more than 100 miles for the month, but I’ve been told I shouldn’t compare apples and oranges, so I’ll just say that I’m happy with what I’ve done so far and leave it at that.
