Week’s End - Month’s End
By Administrator | June 29, 2007
The week I thought would never end is finished and we’ll start a new month on Sunday. June 2007 was memorable for me in many ways: spending a couple days with my wonderful hubby at Lake Tahoe for our 25th anniversary, enjoying time with my friends and family, a very nice birthday, and completing “Script Frenzy” within the first week to ten days of the month.
Unfortunately, June wasn’t such a great month for my diet. I started bike riding with my hubby and that has sent my appetite through the roof - plus, my will power also deserted me and I’ve found myself eating items with flour and sugar when I said I wouldn’t. My weight is holding pretty steady, but I’ve got to get myself back on track because I don’t feel as well as I did when I was eating more carefully.
The only exercise I managed today were a few trips up the stairs at work. No biking, no walking…nothing else. Sleeping only 3 1/2 hours or so is not conducive to having enough energy to exercise. I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep and a bike ride in the fresh morning air. This weekend, I plan to get out for a bike ride or two and I’d like to find my pass to the local pool so I can start swimming. I’ve also got to get myself walking again so I can build up to some easy jogging by the fall.
I’m just past the start of my 44th year of life and I have a lot of physical conditioning to do in the six years before I turn 50. This week’s end, and month’s end, finds me back near the beginning of my training once more. The Road to 50 may look long at this point, but I’m sure I’ll reach that hill before I realize what has happened.
Time to get myself motivated again.
