Nice Out
By Administrator | July 11, 2007
Today was a much nicer one, weather-wise, than we’ve had in awhile. We had clouds and some rain for much of the day and the temperatures feel quite a bit cooler - and it made for a nice evening ride. The stats are: 1.6 miles at an average speed of 7.5 mph (top speed 17.2 mph down Robinson) and a total ride time of 13:19. My total distance for the month so far is 29 miles in 11 rides, meaning I’ve surpassed my June total of 25.1 miles in 12 rides, thanks to the more than 7 mile trip we did on July 4th.
Tonight’s ride was memorable for the fact that hubby and I rode up Fifth Street instead of down. We didn’t start at the bottom of the hill, but any incline is tough and I’m happy when I can actually ride up one.
I’m starting to feel, slowly but surely, that I’m getting into better shape…and that’s always a positive thing.
