Go Ahead, Make Me
By Administrator | July 13, 2007
This morning was one of those times when I had to force myself out of the house since I didn’t sleep well last night. Fortunately, I’m very competitive (even with myself) and I want to equal or better my riding distance from last week. My stats for the morning helped get me a bit closer: 3.6 miles at an average speed of 8 mph and a total ride time of almost 27 minutes. My ride took me north on Mountain to Winnie, around the block to Bath, back to Mountain and south to King, west to Ormsby, around the block to Richmond, and back on Winters. That slight incline up King Street was tougher toward the end of the ride, but I enjoyed the feeling of having worked my leg muscles and I think I’m feeling better for the exertion.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the company of my riding buddy this morning because he’d also had a bad night and I wanted to let him sleep in. I didn’t realize how lonely the roads can be first thing in the morning and how much I enjoy going out with hubby until I went out alone again.
I still need 5.8 miles to reach my goal for this week so, hopefully, hubby will join me for at least a short spin this evening.

Thank you. I have to say that I’m really enjoying the bike riding.
