Tonight’s Fun
By Administrator | July 13, 2007
Though I’d meant to split the 5.8 miles I needed to match last week’s total into two rides, hubby and I managed to do them all this evening. My average speed was 8 mph (max speed 25.9 mph down College Parkway - what a blast!) with a total ride time of 43:24. I’m feeling pretty good about the ride and I’m glad I went. Any mileage I do tomorrow will take me over the 22.4 miles I did last week so I have no real goal in mind other than to get out for a ride at some point.
Tomorrow I’m also going for a hike along the Carson River Trail. My original plan was to join in on a group wildflower hike from Carson Pass (on Highway 88) to Winnemucca Lake, but that was canceled due to another event in that same area. I’ve been invited to go along on a hike with the same group in August, this one around Spooner Lake, so that should be fun.
Some members of my writer’s group have also been discussing some outdoor activities that sound like a lot of fun. At this rate, I’m going to become a very active person and I should get into better shape in no time!

[…] I’ve been playing catchup to my goal of 1250 bike miles in 2007 since early June and the milestones are slow in coming, but they’re getting there. At the start of this weekend, I was in spitting distance of 100 miles for the month (-13 miles) and 500 miles for the year (-27). I did it in three rides with a big assist from The Bride, who went on her first “back way” ride via Ormsby/Winnie/College Parkway. […]
