A Nice Stretch of the Legs

By Administrator | August 5, 2007

Today’s chosen form of exercise was a nice walk to a local grocery store - a total of 2.47 miles round trip.  The cooler temperatures and wind made the walk a very pleasant one and I found myself feeling much better than I have in days.  I think future “breaks” from exercising should be no more than a day and I should at least try to get out to walk as often as possible.  In fact, I’m going to do my best to motivate myself to walk to work this week since my job is very close to home.  Also, I’ve noticed that walking and biking use very different muscles so I have to be sure to alternate those two forms of exercise more often in order to prevent my hips from getting quite so sore.

Now I need to motivate myself to go off and do a few chores, but at least I feel that I’ve accomplished something today…which is a step up from yesterday.
