Adieu, August

Just popped in to say a quick goodbye to the month since I haven’t posted in nearly two weeks. We now head into the “brr” months and autumn will fall upon us before the end of September. Monday is Labor Day, the kids are back in school, and we’ll be heading into the holiday season before too long. Where does the time go?
The best news of all is that we actually got rain here today - during the day and not while everyone was asleep for a change. We also had some thunder and lightning this morning. I never thought clouds and wet weather would make me so happy, but I was in a really good mood today despite being exhausted from not having slept well most of this week. I think today was a good omen for the month to come.
Hopefully, you’ve all had a wonderful summer and you enjoy this last official holiday of that season.
