I am working on the Carson City Sesquicentennial that begins in 2008. http://www.eventsnevada.com/cc150.htm
I am seriously looking for photos of Abe Curry,s Sandstone Eagle. It once adorned the Warm Springs Hotel which later became Nevada State Prison. Pics are available.
In 1972 Noreen Humphries published a photo in the NV Appeal showing the same eagle on top of the Eagles Lodge building on the SE corner of Robinson and Main Street. That building was absorbed by the Carson Nugget and later became part of the casino office structure.
I am on a real treasure hunt here and need some help with this as a fun part of Carson’s History and hopefully an element to CC 150.
Got any pics of or a clue as to what might have happened to it ?
