End of 2007 Wrap-Up

By Administrator | January 3, 2008

Everyone is doing them, but I don’t really remember much about my year so I’ll just say that 2007 was very interesting. I can only wonder what 2008 will bring.

You’ve probably noticed that my most recent posts are shorter than some of my older ones. I’m going to try to do a little each day to keep my up-to-date with life in general, not just mine, and I’m hoping I might actually remember more when 2009 rolls around.

The big news of the day is the Iowa caucuses. The results are in with Mike Huckabee for the Republican party and Barack Obama for the Democrats. The Wyoming caucuses are January 5th, the New Hampshire primary is January 8th and the Michigan primary January 15th, with the Nevada caucuses and South Carolina Republican primary January 19th (the South Carolina Democratic primary is January 26th), the Florida primary January 29th, and the Maine caucuses February 1st. “Super Tuesday” is February 5th. This next month should be very interesting, annoying, and busy.

On the home front, my life continues on pretty much as usual with work, family, and volunteer obligations keeping me busy. I’m also trying to sneak in a some writing and other fun stuff when I get the chance. My upcoming year is going to be a little busier than normal because I’ve been asked to coordinate a film festival in my home town along with my duties as volunteer coordinator/Board member of the Reno Film Festival - plus I’ll be helping youngest daughter plan a January 2009 wedding. As usual, I also plan to continue my attempts to lose some weight and improve my health.

My tired mind has run out of thoughts for the moment so I’ll end this here. Tune in tomorrow…same time, same channel…
