Winter Wonderland
By Administrator | January 6, 2008
We’ve had a series of storms here in the west since Friday and things went from being very soggy due to the heavy rains to very white due to heavy snow. Our little city looks beautiful with a thick mantle of white - though I really prefer not having to drive in the stuff since some other people tend to not understand the finer points of safety on slick/icy roads.
The picture above was taken by middle daughter on Friday evening, before the snow had gotten too deep. If you’d like to see a similar view from the front of our house that was taken this morning, check out my hubby’s blog: No Safe Place.
The weather prevented me from getting to the gym over the past couple days because authorities were telling people to stay off the roads during the storm. I still managed to get a decent amount of exercise by taking down and organizing all my Christmas stuff and doing some housecleaning and vacuuming on Saturday. Today’s workout turned out to be a good amount of snow shoveling, along with hubby, as we worked to dig out our vehicles.
As usual, the weekend is going more quickly than I’d like and I still have many things I want to get done before heading back to work for the week. My current plan is to try to manage as many of them as possible without stressing about them too much - which is a good plan for life in general…
